This Writ Petition had been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against 2nd, 3rd and 4th respondents to conduct enquiry into the audit objection raised by the 7th respondent/Local Fund Audit during the period January 2022 to September 2023 made by the 6th respondent in the 5th respondent Panchayat and take appropriate action against the 6th respondent. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP(MD) No. 2616 of 2024 __________ Page3 of 5 2.In view of the fact that necessary disciplinary proceedings had been initiated against the 6th respondent and the 6th respondent naturally has the right to take up the issue further in manner known to law, we would refrain from from examining the facts of the case. 3.It is submitted that disciplinary proceedings had actually been initiated against 6th respondent by proceedings dated 05.05.2025 in Na.Ka.No.18791/2022/Voo2, and punishment of stoppage of increment for two years with cumulative effect had also been imposed. 4.Recording the said statement and also taking on record the copy of the proceedings, the Writ Petition stands closed.
