For the respondent: Mr. Karan Singh Kanwar, Advocate. __________________________________________________ Romesh Verma , Judge (oral) The present petition arises out of the impugned judgment dated 08.05.2017, passed by learned Sessions Judge, Sirmaur at Nahan, H.P. in Cr. Appeal No. 31-Cr.A/10 of 2016/2013, titled Smt. Amreen Khan & another vs. Ashif Khan, whereby appeal preferred by wife/respondent was partly modified to the extent that the maintenance order was enhanced from Rs. 2,000/- to Rs. 4,000 per month i.e. Rs. 2,000/- each for the appellant and her minor son. 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2. It is heartening to note that, during the pendency of the present petition, the parties have compromised the matter, and the statements in that regard have been recorded separately. 3. In view of the statements made by the parties, it is ordered that the amount lying deposited in the Registry of this Court be released to respondent No. 1 by remitting the same to her savings bank account, the details of which shall be furnished by her to the Registry of this Court within two days positively. 4. Further, on the basis of the statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner, it is ordered that the present petitioner shall pay regularly and without any break an amount of Rs. 1,500/- per month as maintenance to the child, namely, Master Kabir Khan, w.e.f. May, 2026. The maintenance amount shall be paid on or before the 10th of every month for which it shall become due. 5. The amount which the petitioner has agreed to pay to the respondent and the child includes the amount under the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act and under Section 125 of the Cr.P.C. 3 6. In view of the above, the present petition is closed. All pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of accordingly. (Romesh Verma) Judge April 29, 2026 (Nisha)
