The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, owing to a lack of communication, the petitioner was unable to keep track of the proceedings. He would further submit that, in the year 2018, the case bundles were misplaced and were subsequently lost in transit. After the COVID-19 pandemic, in the last week of November 2024, the misplaced bundles were traced, and in the said process, the delay occurred. 3. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent raised a strong objection, contending that the petitioner has failed to satisfactorily explain the reasons for the delay. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CMP(MD). Considering the fact that to give one more opportunity to the petitioner, this Petition is allowed and the delay of 2593 days is condoned on payment of cost of Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) to the respondent within one week from today.
