Murugendran for R-2 *** O R D E R When this Writ Petition came up for hearing on 18.06.2026, the learned counsel for the petitioner represented that he is not ready to argue the case and therefore, sought for an adjournment. Considering his request, this Court posted the matter for hearing after two weeks.
2. Subsequently, when the case was listed on 02.07.2026 for hearing, the
learned counsel for the petitioner again sought for an adjournment by stating that he is not ready to argue the case and hence, requested for time. This Court, as a last chance, granted time for the petitioner to argue the case, thereby directing the Registry to list the matter under the caption “for dismissal” on
16.07.2026.
3. Today, the writ petition is listed under the caption ‘for dismissal’. Even today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is not ready to argue the case and again sought for an adjournment. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. Despite repeated opportunities being given to the petitioner, this Court finds that the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner has been seeking continuous adjournments without prosecuting the case. Therefore, it is evident that the petitioner has no interest in pursuing the case. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs.
