When the matter was taken up today, the petitioner was neither present in person nor represented through counsel. 4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the petitioner’s tenure as the President of Guruvaraja Kandigai Panchayat has expired and, therefore, the relief sought in the writ petition has become infructuous. 5. Recording the said submission, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
