By the instant application, the applicant seeks permission of this Court to deposit the interest component amounting to ₹9.90 lakhs with the Registry of this Court, in terms of the judgment dated 25.11.2022, passed in writ petition OWP No. 1669/2014, whereby compensation to the tune of ₹24.00 lakhs along with interest @ 6% per annum, payable from the date of filing of the writ petition, was awarded in favour of the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the principal amount of ₹24.00 lakhs has already been released in favour of the petitioner; however, the interest component amounting to ₹9.90 lakhs has not been paid so far. 3. learned counsel appearing for the respondent is directed to deposit an interest component @ 6% per annum, payable from the date of filing of Shaista Rashid Shah I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document 12.02.2026 10:58 the writ petition till date, before the Registrar Judicial of this Court. The Registrar Judicial is directed to release the said amount upon its depositing in favour of the petitioner within a period of two weeks, after due verification. 4. CM is disposed of. CCP No. 5/2024 in OWP No. 1669/2014: Learned counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the judgment dated 25.11.2022 passed by this Court has been complied with in its letter and spirit. This Court is satisfied with the compliance report and accordingly, the contempt proceedings are closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to seek revival of the contempt proceedings, in accordance with law, if so advised.
