It is the case of the petitioner that she belongs to BC Community and physically challenged person with 50% disability and had completed her M.Tech (Software Engineer) degree in the year 2018. Being qualified for the post of Group – II Services, the petitioner submitted her application for TNPSC Recruitment and attended the preliminary examination and written examination. Subsequently, the results for onscreen certificate verification were published on 11.01.2024, in which, it was informed that the petitioner was reached the zone https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 14016 of 2024 __________ Page3 of 5 of consideration. After uploading all her relevant documents for certificate verification, she was informed that she was not eligible as she had not reached the zone of consideration. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court. 3. The respondents filed a counter affidavit inter alia contending that the petitioner had wrongly claimed as low vision and submitted certificate mentioning 50% disability for locomotor disability and hence during Onscreen Certificate Verification her candidature has been changed from “Multiple Disability” to “Ortho”. Since the petitioner has not reached the zone of consideration, her name was not included in the Physical Certificate Verification and Counselling as per the orders of this Court dated 24.05.2024. It is also submitted that the petitioner had scored only 97 marks whereas on the other hand, the mark for consideration in Ortho category is 136 marks. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. A perusal of the records would clearly show that even though the petitioner was permitted to take part in certificate verification pursuant to the orders of this Court dated 24.05.2024, she was not admitted for Physical Certificate Verification by the respondents since she had scored only 97 marks https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 14016 of 2024 __________ Page4 of 5 and the candidates who had got selected had scored 136 marks and above. Admittedly, the marks scored by the successful candidates are much more than the marks scored by the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner does not reach the zone of consideration. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
