By this petition, petitioner herein is seeking direction upon respondent No. 2 for reissuance of the passport in favor of the petitioner, thereby correcting the date of birth of the petitioner from 07.09.2005 to 07.09.2006. 2. Reply stands filed by respondents, it is stated that as per records of the year 2007, file No. SGRC000032107 was generated on 28th May, 2007, petitioner had submitted Birth Certificate issued by Registrar of Births & Deaths, which reflected the DOB of the petitioner as 07.09.2005. Even the birth certificate issued by the Department of Gynae & Obstetrics, S.K. Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, also reflects the date of birth of the petitioner as 07.09.2005. 3. Accordingly, the passport bearing No. G4042575 dated 30.08.2007, which already stands expired on 29.08.2012, was issued in favour of the petitioner, mentioning his date of birth as 07.09.2005. It is stated that the petitioner again applied for reissuance of passport on 29.12.2017, which too has expired on 29.04.2023. 4. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner, after attaining majority, has again approached respondents for reissuance of the passport, thereby indicating his DOB as 07.09.2006. The petitioner has also placed on record his Matriculation Certificate as well as the rectified certificate by Srinagar Municipal Corporation which he has also placed on record. 5. Be that as it may, respondents are directed to consider the date of birth of the petitioner on the basis of his Matriculation Certificate after due verification by the Competent Authority within a period of six weeks from the date of passing of this order. 6.
