When the matter is taken up for hearing, attention of this Court was drawn to the counter affidavit filed by the 2nd respondent, wherein it has been stated that the application submitted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited for setting up a Petroleum Retail Outlet in S.F.No.514/B of Neelambur Village of Sulur Taluk, Coimbatore District was rejected by the 2nd respondent, vide proceedings dated 05.07.2024 on the ground that another fuel station is located within the prohibited distance. Hence, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous. 3. In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
