The present contempt petition has been filed against the respondents for alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 06th August, 2024, passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) 10831/2024. 2. Perusal of the aforesaid order shows that it has been directed that the petitioners shall not be disturbed from carrying out their vending activities on the given area, i.e., Open Space, Saket, Mandir Marg, nearby M Block Bus Stop, South Zone, Ward S-67, Delhi, provided the said activities are carried strictly in terms of the Certificates of Vending (“CoVs”). 4. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 19/08/2026 at 11:53:15 petitioners submits that since the CoV of the petitioner clearly states that he can vend qua food/snack with gas cylinder/fire, it is not possible for him to move from one place to another and that he ought to be allowed to vend at one particular place. 7. Clause 11 of the CoV, reads as under: 8. Perusal of the aforesaid shows that mobile vendors shall not stay or vend for more than 30 minutes, or time prescribed by the Town Vending Committee (“TVC”) at one place in a vending/squatting zone. 9. Accordingly, the petitioners are granted liberty to seek clarification from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (“MCD”) with regard to their prayer of squatting. In case, they are allowed to vend qua food/snack with gas cylinder/fire, the respondents would not obstruct the vending activities of the petitioners as long as the vending activities are carried out strictly in accordance with the respective conditions as contained in the CoVs. 10.
