1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/MCD to demolish the unauthorised construction on the subject property i.e. Khasra No. 136/1/2 Min Village Garhi, Jharia Maria, New Delhi). 2. On 15th April, 2026, an order was passed in the present writ petition, directing MCD to take demolition action against the unauthorised construction. A status report has been filed on behalf of the respondent/MCD on 17th July, 2026. The relevant extract from the said status report is set out below:- This is a digitally signed order. 3. Photographs have also been filed along with the status report showing the demolition action taken by the respondent/MCD. A copy of the watch and ward communication has also been placed on record, written to the SHO, P.S. Amar Colony to keep a strict vigil so that the demolished portion is not restored. 4. In view of the aforesaid action taken by the respondent/MCD, the present writ petition stands disposed of. A direction is issued to the SHO, P.S. Amar Colony to ensure that no further construction is carried out in the portions, which have been demolished by MCD. 5. Insofar as relief with regard to demarcation is concerned, the petitioner would be at liberty to invoke appropriate remedy in law. This is a digitally signed order.
