Consequently, the sanction was revoked on 18.05.2022. relevant paragraph of the short reply reads as under: “That the grantee/petitioner Mrs Paramjeet Kaur neither permit in question within the stipulated period of three months from the date of issue of the Grant letter (Annexure P fit bus duly registered in her name and depositing the one time tax @ Rs. 2500/- per Km nor sought extension in time limit to collect the permit for another three months as per the Punjab Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. Therefore, the sanction of the permit in question was rightly revoked by the then Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, Bathinda vi No. 871/RTA/BTI dated 18.05.2022 (Annexure P 128 (6) of the Punjab Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, which is reproduced below: ‘128 (6) No permit shall be issued unless the registration mark of the vehicle to which it relates has, if the form of permit so requires, been entered therein the in the event of any application or allottee failing to produce the certificates of registration within the specified period, the Authority shall revoke the sanction of the permit.’” In view of the statement made learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition, with liberty to avail alternative remedy in accordance with law.
