1. In view of the fact that the lawyers are abstaining from work today, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties were specifically queried whether they are willing that the matter be taken up for hearing. Upon their consent, the present matter was taken up for hearing.
2. The present Writ Petition, under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, seeks the following reliefs:
“a. Issue appropriate Writ, Order or Direction, thereby re- call/quash the orders dated 23.03.2023 and 20.03.2019 passed by Ld. Appellate Court (RCT No. 02/2020) and Ld. Trial Court (Case No. 01 of 2017) respectively thereby quash the orders to pay the compensation to the respondents. b. Stay the proceedings of execution before the estate officer for the impugned order/decree. c. Pass any other order and/or direction, as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit proper under the facts and circumstances of the present case and in the interest of Justice.”

the parties have settled the matter. He refers to the Settlement Agreement dated 29.05.2026 to fortify the said submissions.

Learned counsel for the parties draw the attention of this Court to paragraph No.5 of the Settlement Agreement wherein it is stated that the parties shall jointly pray for disposal of the present Writ Petition in terms of the aforesaid Settlement Agreement. The said para reads as under:
“5. That the Parties undertake to jointly pray before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi for disposal of the pending Writ Petition in terms of the present Settlement Agreement and for treating the disputes between the Parties as fully and finally settled.”
5. Accordingly, the present Petition along with pending application(s) stands disposed of in terms of the Settlement Agreement.
6. Parties shall remain bound by the terms and conditions of the aforesaid Agreement.
