Compliance report has been filed by the respondents, a perusal whereof reveals that a speaking order has been passed by the respondents and it has been decided that despite setting-aside the punishment of “severe reprimand” awarded to the petitioner, he does not come up in merit for promotion to the rank of Subedar Major and he has also not been found eligible for grant of honorary rank due to his placement in low medical category and ACR criteria. As per the said order, the grant of financial benefits subsequent to Serial No. 115 Supplementary List-II CCP(S) No. 350/2024 quashing of punishment has been taken up with the Pay Account Office and amount due to the petitioner will be paid in due course. 02. Learned counsel for the respondents has produced another communication dated 03.02.2026 wherein it has been stated that no recovery was effected from the petitioner on account of punishment of “Severe Reprimand” as such no action in this regard is required to be taken. 03. Having regard to the statement of facts/compliance report filed by the respondents, the judgment of the writ court stands complied with, as such, the contempt proceedings are closed. However, it shall be open the petitioner to work out an appropriate remedy, if at all he is aggrieved of order dated 20.12.2024 or communication dated 03.02.2026. 04.
