The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay the petitioner ‘equal pay for equal work’; to increase the pay of the petitioner from the date she was promoted as Peon i.e. minimum of the pay scale, revised from time to time with permissible allowances; and to regularize the services of the petitioner w.e.f. the date she was appointed as Peon i.e. 27.12.2006.
