The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to pay compensation with respect to their land comprised in Khasra Nos.67//23/1, 67//23/2, 67//22/3, 76//3/2, 67//23/3 pertaining to village Purhiran, Hadbast No.251, Tehsil and District Hoshiarpur. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondent- State has acquired their afore-stated land, however, no compensation till date has been paid despite expiry of 3 decades. The grievance of the petitioners, at this stage, would be redressed if respondent-State is directed to consider their claim in accordance with law. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. Gunjan Mehta, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, who on advance notice is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and waives service.
