Sarma learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr. G. Pegu, learned CGC appearing for the respondents. Page No.# 3/4 2. The petitioner was appointed as a Constable (GD) in BSF pursuant to a selection process. During the verification process, the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)/ Domicile Certificate submitted by the petitioner was found to be correct. Subsequently, a Show Cause notice was issued to the petitioner by the authorities stating that the character and antecedents could not been done by the Office of the Additional District Magistrate, Tinsukia. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted his reply. However, without considering the grievance of the petitioner, by the impugned order dated 08.11.2025 the petitioner was terminated from service, relying upon a report given by the Additional District Magistrate, Tinsukia. Against the said dismissal order, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the Appellate Authority. However, the same has not been disposed of till date. Being aggrieved, the petitioner has approached this Court. 3. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that against the dismissal order dated 08.11.2025, the petitioner had preferred an appeal and the appeal is presently pending and no order has been passed thereon. This writ petition is closed, directing the respondents as also the Appellate Authority in which the appeal is stated to be pending, to expeditiously dispose of the said appeal preferred by the writ petitioner by passing a speaking order. Let the appeal be disposed of within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 4. Needless to say, any such order that may be passed by the appellate authority, copies thereof shall be served upon the petitioner. In the event any order has been passed in the appeal preferred by the petitioner during the pendency of the writ petition, copies thereof shall be served upon the writ Page No.# 4/4 petitioner. 5.
