Thakuria, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Mr. S. Sharma, is the engaged counsel in the matter in respect of WP(C) No.879/2024 and since he has some personal difficulty today, he prays for an adjournment on his behalf. Learned counsel also submits that Mr. S. Sharma, was the engaged counsel for WP(C) No.674/2024, but the brief has been taken away by the client three to four months back from Mr. S. Sharma, and therefore, notice may go to the writ petitioner Sri Yash Sharma. Mr. S. Sutradhar, learned Standing Counsel, IIT, Guwahati appearing for respondent Nos. 2 to 5 on the other hand submits that both the writ Page No.# 4/4 petitions have become infructuous in view of the fact that the petitioner Sri Yash Sharma has graduated in the 27th Convocation held on 13.07.2025 as B.Tech Engineering in Physics and his Degree Certificate and Transcript has already been delivered to him. He further submits that in respect of writ petitioner Sri Kumar Gaurav, the petitioner in WP(C) No.879/2024, he has completed the required Course of B.Tech (Electronic and Electrical Engineering) and he has also been given a provisional pass certificate as per his request on 07.01.2026. He therefore, submits that the writ petition filed by Mr. Kumar Gaurav has also become infructuous. Considering the above submission, let these two writ petitions be segregated. In view of the submission made by Mr. S. Sutradhar, learned Standing Counsel, IIT, Guwahati, the WP(C) No.674/2024 stands closed. It is however, provided herein that if there is any further cause of action, the petitioner would be at liberty to approach this Court again, if so advised. In case of WP(C) No.879/2024, on the request made on behalf of Mr. S. Sharma, learned counsel for the petitioner, the matter stands adjourned to be listed again on 21.04.2026.
