Y BALAJI The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: This Contempt Case is filed under Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for willful, wanton and deliberate disobedience in implementation of the order passed by this Court on 05.07.2023 in W.P.No.15395 of 2023. 2. Aggrieved by the action of the respondents/contemnors in not paying the arrears of rent and other essential charges due for the schedule premises, the petitioner filed W.P.No.15395 of 2023, wherein, this Court passed the following order on 05.07.2023: “5. In view of the common order passed by this Court and after hearing the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Labour and learned counsel appearing for the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to release the amount of Rs.21,97,125/- towards arrears of rent and other essential charges, Rs.7,777/- due towards electricity charges for Service No.6424386067066 and Rs.1,79,311/- due towards electricity charges for service No.6424386042819, Rs.37,044/- towards Municipal Water charges and Rs.10,548/- towards Sewage due, totaling an amount of Rs.24,31,805/- to the petitioner within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the petitioner to agitate his claim for interest, if any payable by the respondents, in an appropriate forum.” 3. Heard learned counsel on either side. 4. Pursuant to Form-I notice issued by the Registry on 24.07.2026 to all the respondents/contemnors, the 2nd respondent/contemnor appeared 4 virtually and the 3rd respondent/contemnor is present physically before this Court. However, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the 1st respondent/contemnor retired from service and that his whereabouts are unknown. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the orders passed by this Court were complied with by the respondents/contemnors and as such, requested to close the contempt case. 6. Recording the same, this contempt case is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
