Also heard Ms. M Barman, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent nos. 1 & 4, Mr. A Chaliha, learned standing counsel, Finance Department, Assam, appearing for respondent no. 2, Ms. R S Choudhury, learned standing counsel, Assam State Legal Services Authority, appearing for respondent no. 3 and Mr. F A Hassan, learned counsel appearing for respondent no. 5. 2. The petitioner, in the present Writ Petition, has raised a grievance with regard to the non-authorization to him of the victim compensation amount of Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs Only), in pursuance to the murder of his daughter Late Tengchira Marak. The petitioner further projects that the determination, as mandated in the matter for release of the said amount of compensation was already done by the jurisdictional District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) vide an order dated 14.10.2022. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the parties have submitted that the amount of victim compensation, as determined to be receivable by the petitioner, herein, has already been authorized to him. 3. Mr. M R Khandakar, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the said amount has also been credited to the account of the petitioner. 4. In view of the above developments, there being no further live issue to be considered in the present writ petition, the present writ petition stands closed. 5. The compliance report submitted in the matter by the respondent no. 4 Page No.# 3/3 through Ms. M Barman, learned Government Advocate, along with a copy of the cheque, drawn in favour of the petitioner for the amount involved, is kept on record and marked as ‘X’ for the purpose of identification.
