During the pendency of the Writ Petition, the lease period is over. Hence, the present Writ Petition is rendered infructuous. However, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner requested to direct the respondents to repay the deposit amount. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the said deposit was adjusted for the lease period. However, the petitioner is directed to file an application to the concerned respondents for repayment of the deposit / EMD amount. On filing such application, the authorities concerned are directed to dispose of the application in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is rendered infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
