BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR MEDHI
ORDER 21.01.2026 Heard Shri A. Ganguli, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. M. Das,
learned counsel for the respondent no. 5. The grievance of the petitioner was with regard to the aspect of compliance of the provision of Section 33 C of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 in terms of an Award dated 20.09.2022 passed by the learned Labour Court, Kamrup (M) at Guwahati in Ref. Case No. 01/2019. Both the learned counsel for the parties have, however, submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition, the amount in question has been disbursed to the petitioner. In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that there is no requirement or scope for any adjudication in this matter. Since the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed, there would be no necessity to proceed with the recovery certificate said to have been issued in the meantime. The writ petition accordingly stands closed.
