The petitioner, through the medium of the present petition, is seeking a direction upon the respondents for his appointment on compassionate basis on account of the death of his father, namely, Sh. Pardeep Singh, who is stated to have died while in employment of the respondent- Department. The petitioner is stated to have made a representation dated 10.03.2023 to the respondents for his appointment on compassionate basis. Serial No. 100 Regular List WP(C) No. 2203/2023 02. The respondents in their reply have not denied the factual aspects of the case inasmuch as they have admitted the death of the father of the petitioner in harness. They have also admitted the receipt of representation dated 10.03.2023 from the petitioner. In fact, the respondents have admitted the right of the petitioner to be considered for compassionate appointment. It has been submitted by the respondent that the representation of the petitioner is under process and certain clarifications were sought from the petitioner. Upon receipt of the clarifications from the petitioner, his representation has been forwarded to the Commissioner/Secretary to the Govt., Cooperative Department, UT of J&K. 03. In view of the pleadings of the parties, this petition can be disposed of at this stage itself by extending an appropriate direction upon the respondents for consideration of the claim of the petitioner at the earliest as the compassionate appointment by its very nature requires immediate consideration so as to enable the affected family to tide over the adversity. 04. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment in accordance WP(C) No. 2203/2023 with the rules holding the field, most expeditiously, preferably within a period of three months from today. 05.
