BEFORE THE NATIONAL LOK ADALAT Jagat Ram vs. Hari Lal Cr. Revision No. 300 of 2023 12.09.2026 Present: Ms. Aafreen Kaushal, Legal Aid Counsel for the petitioner alongwith petitioner-Shri Jagat Ram in person. Mr. Anirudh Sharma, Advocate for the respondent alongwith respondent-Shri Hari Lal in person. The matter has been referred for determination to the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties have voluntarily and amicably settled the matter with their free consent, will, volition and without any undue influence or misrepresentation. As per settlement arrived between the parties, the petitioner has already deposited a sum of Rs. 2,50,000/- (Two Lacs Fifty Thousand Only) as full and final settlement of the cheque amount and nothing is due to be paid to the respondent. A sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- (One Lac) is lying deposited before the learned Trial Court and as sum of Rs. 1,50,000/- (One Lac Fifty Thousand Only) is lying deposited before the Registry of this Hon’ble Court and this amount of Rs. 2,50,000/- (Two Lacs Fifty Thousand Only) is agreed to be released in favour of the respondent-complainant Shri Hari Lal. The amount already deposited before the learned Trial Court and the Registry of this Hon’ble High Court of H.P., be released to the respondent-complainant on furnishing the details of Bank Account. Today the respondent-complainant has furnished the copy of Pass Book which is taken on record. Accordingly, the matter stands finally settled. The parties shall be bound by the terms and conditions of the agreement as agreed. The terms and conditions of the settlement as above have been explained to the parties/counsel, which they have accepted as correct and appended their signature in evidence of the settlement. Members have also counter signed it. The compounding of the offence shall have an effect of acquittal. Accordingly, the petitioner-accused stands acquitted. Since the parties have adopted cost effective and speedy disposal of the matter, before the National Lok Adalat, therefore, it is not expedient to impose any cost for the settlement. Copy of order be supplied to the parties free of costs. File be sent to the Registry of the Hon’ble High Court for doing the needful/consignment. RO/AC (Prem Pal Ranta) Presiding Officer (B.M.
