(Oral) On 24.6.2026, this Court, after having taken note of statement made by Shri Akshay Dubey, Executive Engineer (Civil), Commanding Officer, 68 RCC, passed following order: “Sh. Akshay Dubey, Executive Engineer (C), Commanding Officer, 68 RCC has attended the hearing and placed on record office instructions dated 22.06.2026. He submits that the case of the petitioners has been recommended for acquisition of the land parcels, which fall under Category-I (Annexure-A appended alongwith office instructions dated 23.09.2025 furnished from the 2 office of the Deputy Commissioner, District Kinnaur at Reckong Peo) and the matter is under process with the higher/ competent authorities. Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks time to have instructions as to which of the land parcels mentioned in aforesaid Annexure-A belong to the petitioners. At this request, list this matter on 16.07.2026.” 2. Mr. Sanjeev Bhushan, Senior Advocate, on the instructions of the petitioners, fairly states that petitioners would be content and satisfied in case land parcels as detailed in Annexure-A (available at page 98 of the paper book), are acquired by respondent Nos. 1 to 3 and they are paid adequate compensation in accordance with law. 3. Mr. Shashi Shirshoo, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos. 1 to 3, states that case of the petitioners has been already recommended for acquisition of the land parcels, which fall under Category-I and necessary steps for acquisition of the same shall be taken expeditiously. 4. Consequently, in view of the above, nothing remains to be adjudicated in the instant proceedings and as such, present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent Nos. 4 and 5 to acquire the land as has been recommended by respondent Nos. 1 to 3 (Annexure-A, available at page 98 of the paper book), expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months and thereafter, adequate compensation in accordance 3 with law be paid to the petitioners.
