SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS UKHC010094252023 ABA/460/2023 Alim --Applicant Versus State Of Uttarakhand --Respondent Hon’ble Alok Mahra, J. Mr. Rajveer Singh, Advocate for the applicant. 2. Mr. V.S. Pal, A.G.A. for the State. 3. By means of the present application, the applicant seeks anticipatory bail in connection with FIR/Case Crime No. 0059 of 2023, registered at Police Station Kotwali Buggawala, District Haridwar, for the offences punishable under Sections 3/5/11 of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007. 4. Learned State Counsel, on instructions, submits that the investigation has been concluded and the Investigating Officer has already submitted the charge-sheet before the competent Court and the trial is underway. 5. In reply, learned counsel for the applicant submits that this Court, vide order dated 22.06.2023, granted interim anticipatory bail to the applicant and pursuant thereto, the applicant had remained available to the Investigating Officer and has fully cooperated with the investigation. It is further submitted that the investigation now stands concluded, the charge-sheet has been filed, and no material has been brought on record to indicate that the custodial interrogation of the applicant is either necessary or required. It is, therefore, prayed that the interim anticipatory bail granted to the applicant be confirmed. 6. Having heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the material available on record, and considering the fact that the applicant had remained protected under the interim order dated 22.06.2023, has duly cooperated with the investigation, the investigation has been completed, the charge- sheet has already been submitted before the competent Court, and there is nothing on record to suggest that the custodial interrogation of the applicant is now required, this Court is of the opinion that the interim protection granted to the applicant deserves to be confirmed. No opinion is being expressed on the merits of the case. 7. Accordingly, the interim anticipatory bail granted to the applicant vide order dated 22.06.2023 is made absolute. The applicant shall continue to remain on anticipatory bail on the same terms and conditions as contained in the order dated 22.06.2023, subject to compliance thereof and subject to any other condition(s), if imposed by the trial Court in accordance with law. 8. The anticipatory bail application is, accordingly, allowed. 9. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of. (Alok Mahra J.) 10.08.2026 Ujjwal
