1. By this revision petition, petitioner herein has challenged order dated 14.02.2023, passed by Special Judge Anticorruption Bureau, Anantnag in case titled “State through SHO Police Station VOK vs. Gh Hassan Rather & Ors.”, whereby right of prosecution to adduce evidence has been closed.
2. Learned counsel for the respondents has produced a copy of the judgment dated 25.08.2023, passed by Special Judge AntiCorruption Bureau, Anantnag, in case titled “State through P/S VOK Vs. Makhan Lal Pandit & Ors.”, whereby the respondents, figuring at Serial Nos. 2, 5 and 7, have been acquitted of all the charges framed against them. Copy of the
judgment dated 25.08.2023 is taken on record. The relevant portion of the
judgment dated 25.08.2023 is taken note of:
“The net result is that the prosecution has miserably failed to prove the allegations against the accused persons and there being no evidence against them as such this challan fails and the accused persons stand acquitted of all the charges leveled against them. They shall also stand relieved of bail and personal bonds. The challan stands accordingly
disposed of, be consigned to records after due compilation.”
3. Since the criminal proceedings culminating in the impugned order have already resulted in the acquittal of the respondents, the issue raised in the present revision petition has lost its relevance.
4. In view of the above, the present revision petition has been rendered infructuous, it is dismissed as such.
