The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, seeking quashing of FIR No. 36/2014, registered at Police Station Neb Sarai, New Delhi, for offences punishable under Sections 448/506/420/468/471/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, including the proceedings pending before the learned Trial Court in Criminal Case No. 11444/2023. 3. The dispute between the parties arises out of a property measuring 1000 square yards, bearing Khasra No. 433 min., situated in the Revenue Estate of This is a digitally signed order. The petitioners have placed on record an affidavit dated 04.04.2024, wherein they have stated that they have no concern with, and are not claiming any right, title or interest in, the property in dispute. The petitioners are present in person before this Court and reiterate the contents of the said affidavit. 5. Learned counsel appearing for Respondent No. 2 submits that, in view of the aforesaid affidavit and the statements made by the petitioners before this Court, Respondent No. 2 has no objection to the quashing of the FIR and the consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 6. It is noted that Respondent No. 2, who was the complainant in the present case, has expired. However, the present petition is being considered in view of the affidavit dated 04.04.2024 filed by the petitioners, the statements made by them before this Court, and the submissions made on behalf of Respondent No. 2. 7. The petitioners shall remain bound by the statements made in the affidavit dated 04.04.2024 as well as by the statements made before this Court. They shall not raise or assert any claim, right, title or interest in the property in dispute. 8. In view of the aforesaid submissions and undertaking, and considering that the dispute between the parties has been amicably resolved, no useful purpose would be served by permitting the criminal proceedings to continue. Continuation of the proceedings would amount to an abuse of the process of law. 9.
