Relief clause(s) herein is/are taken from CWP No. 5066/2023):-
“(i) That respondent may kindly be directed to consider the case of petitioner for granting the two additional increments on completion of 20 years of service as per notification dated 10.09.2015 (Annexure P-1) as well as orders of this Hon'ble High Court which has been upheld by the Apex Court. (ii) That the Impugned Office order of rejection dated 29.11.2022 (Annexure P-5) may kindly be quashed and set aside.” 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? 2. Respondents have also filed the reply. 3. At this stage, learned counsel for the respondents has placed on record office letter dated 20.12.2025 from respondent No.1 to its various offices across the State on the subject “Grant of two additional increments on completion of 20 years of regular service by Conductors-Consolidated instructions.” Learned counsel submits that the consolidated instructions contained in the office letter dated 20.12.2025 take care of the grievances of the petitioners.
The respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner afresh for grant of two additional increments on completion of 20 years of service in terms of consolidated instructions dated 20.12.2025. 4.
Learned counsel for the petitioners are also agreeable to the above instructions. He prays for setting aside the rejection order passed by the respondents in the case of the petitioner on 29.11.2022 (Annexure P-5), which is impugned in the present writ petitions.
5. In view of above, the impugned office orders dated 29.11.2022 (Annexure P-5) are quashed and set aside. Respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioners for grant of relief prayed for by them in light of consolidated instructions dated 20.12.2025. This exercise
4 be carried out within a period of six weeks from today. The
