This writ petition has been filed for grant of following substantive reliefs:-
“(i) That respondent may kindly be directed to consider the case of petitioner for granting the two additional increments on completion of 20 years of service by taking into
consideration the fact that petitioner has worked with respondent-Corporation on the same post of conductor for 34 years;
(ii) That the Impugned Office order of rejection dated 10.05.2023 (Annexure P-5) may kindly be quashed and set aside.”

At this stage, learned counsel for the respondents has placed on record office letter dated 20.12.2025 issued from respondent No.1 to its various offices across the State on the subject

Learned counsel submits that the consolidated instructions contained in the office letter dated 20.12.2025 take care of the grievances of the petitioner. The respondents shall consider the case of the petitioner afresh for grant of two additional increments on completion of 20 years of service in terms of consolidated instructions dated 20.12.2025.

Learned counsel for the petitioner is also agreeable to the above instructions. He prays for setting aside the rejection order passed by the respondents in the case of the petitioner on 10.05.2023 (Annexure P-5), which is impugned in the present writ petition.

In view of above, the impugned office order dated 10.05.2023 (Annexure P-5) is quashed and set aside. Respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of relief prayed for by him in light of consolidated instructions dated
20.12.2025. This exercise be carried out within a period of six weeks from today. The order so passed be also communicated to the petitioner.
The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
