“Present petition has been filed praying for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.0072, dated 04.09.2023, under Sections 408 & 420 of IPC (Sections 465, 467, 468, 471, 474, 201 and 120-B of IPC added later on), registered at Police Station Kathgarh, District SBS Nagar. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. He has submitted that co-accused, namely, Deepak, who is the son of the petitioner, is the main accused and the petitioner JYOTI THAKUR 2026.07.24 13:46 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRM-M-25486-2026 has been implicated in the present case being the mother of co- accused, Deepak. He has submitted that the petitioner is about 80 years of age and has no criminal antecedents. He has submitted that no prima facie case as alleged against the petitioner is made out and thus, she deserves to be granted anticipatory bail. Notice of motion. On asking of the Court, Mr. K. D. Sachdeva, DAG, Punjab appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondent- State. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is bed ridden and thus, she may kindly be allowed to join the investigation on virtual mode. To come up on 23.07.2026. In the meantime, in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on interim bail subject to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. The petitioner, being 80 years of age and bed ridden, shall join the investigation before the Investigating Agency/Officer through Virtual mode. She shall abide by the following conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of BNSS:- (i) That the petitioner shall make herself available for interrogation by a police officer as and when required to do so. (ii) That the petitioner shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade her from disclosing such facts to the court or to any police officer.
