Learned counsel submits that the petitioner is working with the respondent-Department for the last 30 years and submits that his case is squarely covered by the judgment of Hon’ble the Supreme Court in SLP-31566-2018, which along with a batch of other cases, has been disposed of vide judgment dated 16.04.2026 in Civil Appeal No.1998-2024, regarding which, representations dated 28.04.2022 and 10.02.2023, Annexures P-7 & P-8 respectively, have been submitted, however, the same have yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner.
2. Learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the representations dated 28.04.2022 and 10.02.2023, expeditiously, in accordance with law, taking note of the aforesaid judgments, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a MOHIT 2026.07.22 17:26 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-10746-2023 (O&M) -2- just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
