of anticipatory bail by the co-ordinate Bench of this Court for commission of offences punishable under Sections 316(2), 316(5), 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 340(2) of the BNS, 2023, in the FIR in question. It has been pleaded that subsequently, the police has invoked Sections 7, 12 and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, on 20.02.2026. 3. It is not in dispute before this Court that the petitioner has not misused the concession of anticipatory bail, afforded to him earlier, in respect of offences punishable under Sections 316(2), 316(5), 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 340(2) of the BNS, 2023. The occasion for the petitioner to file the present petition has arisen only on account of subsequent addition of Sections 7, 12 and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 in the FIR in question. 4. Keeping in view the factual milieu of the case in hand, the petition in hand is allowed allowed allowed allowed. In the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on anticipatory bail qua offences punishable under Sections 7, 12 and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 as well in the FIR in question, subject to his joining investigation and cooperating therein, as and when required, and further subject to his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer/Investigating Officer. The petitioner shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 482(2) of the BNSS, 2023. The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly influence any witness or tamper with the evidence. 5. This order should not be treated as a “blanket” order. It will not be read as granting petitioner indefinite protection from arrest. It shall be confined to the FIR mentioned ibid and will not operate in respect of any other incident that involves commission of an offence.
