Custody certificate filed by learned State counsel in Court today is taken on record. 3. On a complaint submitted by one Nik vehicle was apprehended which was stated to be loaded with cattle for the purpose of smuggling. Two cows and one bull were found in the vehicle. The driver, however, fled and was produced on the next day on 25.12.2025 by the owner of the vehicle and is in custody since then. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated. Per contra, learned counsel representing the State of Haryana has opposed the bail petition. 6. I have considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties. 7. The petitioner is in custody for the last more than 6 months and 08 days. No recovery is to be made from the petitioner. The trial will take a sufficiently long time to conclude. In the considered opinion of this Court, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner in custody any longer who is already in custody for the last more than 6 months and is not known to be a previous offender. 8. In view of the aforementioned facts and circumstances, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the concerned trial Court/Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate.
