2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. Though notice has been ordered to the third respondent, none appeared on behalf of the respondent.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an ex-serviceman. After his discharge from the Army, he joined the service of 2/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P(MD)No.28957 of 2023 the second respondent as Security Staff and continued in service until he attained the age of superannuation on 30.09.2019. It is submitted that the petitioner has been denied monthly pension on the ground that the second respondent had failed to remit the pension fund contributions for the period from October 2015 to February 2016, November 2016, and April 2017 to June 2017, aggregating to nine months. Aggrieved by the non-release of pension, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 31.10.2023 requesting the respondents to take appropriate action. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, the said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present writ petition.
4. The learned counsel further submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.10.2023 and pass appropriate orders thereon within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
