This case was referred for alternative dispute resolution to the National Lok Adalat conducted on 14.12.2024. The learned Presiding Officer of the National Lok Adalat (Hon’ble Mr. Justice G.Arulmurugan) has already recorded that the 2nd respondent wife was present before the National Lok Adalat and submitted that the dispute with her husband has been resolved and they are living peacefully and she does not have any objection to quash the proceedings initiated by her in the above CC No.3000 of 2022. In view thereof, applying the ratio laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India India in B.S. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition No.18081 of 2023 stands allowed. The proceedings in C.C. No.3000 of 2022 on the file of the Additional Mahila Court at Magisterial Level, Coimbatore shall stand quashed.
