The present contempt petition is filed to punish the respondents for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 02.08.2022 in W.P.No.23436 of 2019. 3. It is brought to the notice of this Court that aggrieved by the order of this Court dated 02.08.2022 in W.P.No.23436 of 2019, the State had preferred a writ appeal vide W.A.No.484 of 2024 and the Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court vide its order dated 05.09.2024 had allowed the writ appeal partly and directed the respondents - State to take a final decision with regard to eligibility of the writ petitioner to the benefits of G.O.Ms.No.76, Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, dated 31-05-2019, within a period of eight weeks; that the respondents thereafter has passed an order dated 17.12.2024, adjudicating the eligibility, or otherwise, of the petitioner to claim the benefits under G.O.Ms.No.76 dated 31.05.2019. 4. In view of the above, the respondents pursuant to the directions contained in the writ appeal vide order dated 05.09.2024 passed in W.A.No.484 of 2024 having taken further action by issuing proceedings dated 17.12.2024, this Court is of the view that the respondents have complied with the order of this Court, as modified in the writ appeal, and as such, the present contempt petition does not survive for consideration . 6.
