Out of love and affection the fifth respondent executed an irrevocable settlement deed bearing Document No.3082 of 2022 dated 24.02.2022, in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner executed a sale deed dated 10.05.2022 in favour of the sixth respondent. While so, the fifth respondent initiated proceedings under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, before the second respondent. Pursuant thereto, the second respondent in and by proceedings dated 01.11.2023, cancelled the settlement deed executed by the fifth respondent in favour of the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner had failed to maintain his father / fifth respondent. Aggrieved over the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the very same impugned order was challenged by the subsequent purchaser namely the sixth respondent in W.P.(MD)No.8605 of 2023 and the same was allowed by this Court on the ground that the settlement deed is an irrevocable settlement deed. Also, since the impugned order has already been quashed by this Court, nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition. 6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
