No.C6/33545/2022 dated 20.07.2023 and quash the same as illegal and consequently directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to cancel the settlement deed bearing document No.2103/2021 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Arasaradi, Madurai in favour of the respondents 3 to 5 thereby retrieve the petitioners property within stipulated time period. 2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had preferred a complaint before the second respondent under the 2/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P(MD)No.22657 of 2023 Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, seeking maintenance from the private respondents 3 to 5, who are the petitioner’s grandsons. The original authority, after considering the materials on record,
directed each of the private respondents to pay monthly maintenance of Rs.2,000 to the petitioner. Seeking enhancement of the maintenance amount, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent. The first respondent, however, confirmed the order passed by the second respondent. Aggrieved thereby, the present writ petition has been filed.

At the time of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, without pressing the challenge on merits, submitted that this Court may issue a direction to the official respondents to ensure that the maintenance amount awarded is regularly paid by the private respondents, since they have failed to comply with the order.
4. Per contra, the learned counsel appearing for the private respondents 3 to 5 would submit that the maintenance amount is being paid regularly to the petitioner. 3/6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

In view of the above submissions, this Court directs the first and second respondents to ensure that the maintenance amount awarded is paid to the petitioner by the private respondents 3 to 5, if not already paid, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
