On instructions, the learned counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for respondents 1 to 4 submitted that the festival of Sri Alamarathu Karupparaya Swamy Temple is presently in progress and that adequate police protection has been provided to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival. 3. Recording the said submissions, the respondents 5 to 8 are directed not to interfere with the temple activities and festivals of Sri Alamarathu Karupparaya Swamy Temple, situated at Kodarai, Nambiyur Taluk, Erode District. The fourth respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection, if so requested, during the festival. It is made clear that, if there is any dispute with regard to civil rights over the temple, the respondents 5 to 8 are at liberty to approach the competent Civil Court for appropriate relief in the manner known to law. 5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
