He contends that Surjit Singh had executed a Will dated 15.01.2010, on the basis of which mutation was sanctioned in 2016, but the complainant never challenged the same for about nine years. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. He contends that Surjit Singh had executed a Will dated 15.01.2010, on the basis of which mutation was sanctioned in 2016, but the complainant never challenged the same for about nine years. He further submits that the matter has been compromised between the parties. Learned counsel has further submitted that the petitioner is ready and willing to join the investigation as and when called upon to do so by the investigating agency. On the other hand, learned State counsel has already filed the status report in the matter and while referring to the status report, has opposed the prayer for grant of anticipatory bail, by submitting that the allegations levelled against the petitioner are serious in nature. However, he submits that he is not aware of the compromise between the parties, if any.
Learned counsel appearing for respondent No.2 has affirmed to the compromise having taken place between the parties and has no objection if the present petition Adjourned to 29.04.2026. In the meantime, the petitioner is directed to join investigation within a week from today and would appear as and when required by the Investigating Officer and cooperate with the Investigating Agency.
