The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a representation was filed by the petitioner, requesting the respondents to award proper compensation to the petitioner for the death of his mother, who died on 05.03.2023 due to electrocution at Palayam Village, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of by the respondent within a period of 12 weeks. 4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record. 5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to verify with regard to the cause of death. If it was ascertained that the deceased had passed away due to electrocution, certainly, as per the TANGEDCO Proceedings No.6 dated 16.10.2019, the petitioner is entitled for minimum compensation to the tune of Rs.5,00,000/-. 6. Therefore, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.05.2023 and dispose of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis WP No. 30058 of 2023 7.
