As per the averments contained in the said status report, the matter had been investigated and statements of nearly 50 persons, resident of the village, were recorded in which all of them stated that a fight had taken place between the petitioner and Major Singh, Harpreet Kaur and Jaspal Singh. Accordingly, FIR No.188 was registered against the said three accused persons on 23.10.2025. The MLR has also been obtained which reflected seven injuries on the person of the petitioner herein. The accused had filed petition for anticipatory bail in which an interim bail was granted by the Trial Court whereupon they joined the investigation on 06.11.2025. The anticipatory bail was made absolute in November, 2025. The opinion of the doctors had been obtained as per which all the injuries were simple in nature. It has further been averred that the investigation is on the verge of completion and the final report shall be filed soon. The relevant extract of the status report reads thus: “6. That the preliminary inquiry was duly conducted and during the inquiry, the individual namely Daljit Singh has produced a video recording/footage which revealed that on 13.10.2025 a fight took place between the present petitioner namely Charnjeet Kaur, Major Singh, Harpreet Kaur and Jaspal Singh. Further as per the video recording it was found that there was no involvement of Daljit Singh, Amandeep Kaur and Jasvir Singh in the aforesaid incident. Therefore, in this regard a joint statement of more than 50 residents of the village were duly recorded in which all of them stated that the fight had taken place between the present petitioner and Major Singh, Harpreet Kaur and Jaspal Singh. That, it is pertinent to mention here that after the registration of the FIR, efforts were made to arrest the accused. However, the interim bail was granted by the Ld. Trial Court and they all joined the investigation on 06.11.2025. Thereafter, the Ld. Additional Sessions Judge, SAS Nagar, Mohali has made the anticipatory bail absolute on 12.11.2025. 9. That during the course of the investigation, the opinion of the doctor in regard to the injuries suffered by the petitioner as per the MLR was also taken and it was opined that all the injuries were simple in nature, hence, no section was added further. 10. That the investigation in the present case is going on and after the completion of the investigation the Challan/Final Report under Section 193 BNSS will be presented before the Ld. Trial Court once the investigation is completed in the present FIR No.188 (Supra).” 5. Learned State Counsel contends that the final report shall be filed soon and in any case not later than 02 months of the receipt of certified copy of this order. 6. In view of the above, no further directions are required to be issued in the present petition and the same is disposed of. However, the State is directed to file a final report within the period as aforesaid. 7. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of. (VINOD S.
