This Court vide order dated 26.11.2025 to appear before the Illaqa/Duty Magistrate to get their statements recorded and the learned Magistrate was directed to send its report qua the genuineness of the compromise.

Pursuant to the aforesaid order, parties Illaqa/Duty Magistrate to record statement and
order dated 24.03.2026 one another opportunity was granted to record their statements. Thereafter, the parties Magistrate, Sangrur statements so recorded, report dated 04.04.2026 between the parties voluntarily and without any coercion or undue influence.

Learned State counsel as wel and 3 have not disputed the factum of compromise between the parties.

In view of the above, no useful purpose would be served to continue with the proceedings before the trial Court in the instant FIR.

order dated 24.03.2026 one another opportunity was granted to record their statements. Thereafter, the parties have appeared before Magistrate, Sangrur and got their statements recorded. On the basis of the atements so recorded, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sangrur 04.04.2026 to the effect that the compromise has been effected between the parties voluntarily and without any coercion or undue influence. Learned State counsel as well as counsel for respondent No have not disputed the factum of compromise between the parties. In view of the above, no useful purpose would be served to continue with the proceedings before the trial Court in the instant FIR. Following the principles laid down by the Full Bench judgment of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others Versus State of Punjab and another 2007 (3) RCR (Criminal) 1052 and approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Gian Singh Versus State of Punjab and others (2012) 1 , this petition is allowed and FIR No.97, dated 06.05.2025, under Sections 318(4) and 61(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 City Sangrur, District Sangrur (Annexure P- arising therefrom on the basis of compromise (Annexure P Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of, accordingly.
