Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that while the petitioner has received the principal policy amount of Rs.2,00,000/- as early as on 07.02.2023, he is entitled to interest on the said sum. Despite this entitlement, the interest amount has not yet been paid to the petitioner. 3. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent would submit that in the event the petitioner makes any representation, seeking interest for the policy amount, the same will be considered by the respondents in accordance with law. 4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. Upon perusal of the affidavit filed in support of this writ petition, it is noted that nothing has been mentioned regarding petitioner’s entitlement in respect of interest for the aforementioned policy amount. On such receipt, the respondents are directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. 6.
