1. On 19.08.2026, the following order was passed :
“Heard It is unfortunate that the order passed on 16-6-2022 has been not complied till today. In fact, by the said order, the respondents were directed to comply order dated 23-11-2005 which determines the amount of arrears to which the petitioners are entitled to. Thus, in essence, the order dated 23-11-2005 has been not complied with. We would expect respondents to comply with the said order before next date, failing which, they may face aggravated contempt.
Learned counsel for the respondents shall communicate this
order to the respondents by tomorrow through WhatsApp. List in the week commencing 7-9-2026.
2. In response, the counsel for the respondents has tendered across the Bar the affidavit of reply stating therein that the order under question has been complied with. The respondents have also tendered an unconditional apology.
3. The respondents’ counsel has handed over to the petitioners’ counsel five cheques total amounting to Rs. 34,37,644/-.
4. In view thereof, and since the order has been complied with, though belatedly, the contempt is purged.
