This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed by the petitioner herein/Accused No.4, to quash the proceedings in Calendar Case No.5704 of 2022 pending on the file of the learned IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Vijayawada, arising out a case in Crime No.201 of 2022 of Patamata Police Station, Vijayawada city, registered against the petitioner/ Accused No.4 and other accused for the offence punishable under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner/Accused No.4 submits that the petitioner/accused No.4 and other accused faced the trial and they were acquitted of the charge punishable under Section 498A of IPC vide Judgment dated 23.10.2024 passed by the IV Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum- Additional Mahila Magistrate, Vijayawada and in view of the same, the cause in the Criminal Petition does not survive for adjudication, rendering the Criminal Petition infructuous. 3. Recording the said submission, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. ___ __________
