2026 Mrs. K. Devi, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petitioner expired during the pendency of the writ petition on 22.01.2024. This information however subsequently brought to the notice of the learned counsel for the petitioner. It is further submitted that the legal heirs of the writ petitioner are also not interested in pursuing the matter any further. Accordingly, it is prayed that this writ petition be closed. The learned counsel for the respondents does not object to the prayer made. Considering the submissions made and in view of the expiry of the writ petitioner on 22.01.2024, and since no application for substitution has been filed, the writ petition has abated. Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed as having abated.
