1. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner hands up to Court a printout of an email dated January 26, 2026 written on behalf of the petitioner and submits that the petitioner is desirous of filing an application under the Settlement of Dispute (SOD) Scheme introduced by the West Bengal Commercial Tax Department for settlement of old disputes and, as such, the petitioner seeks to withdraw the writ petition. The printout of email dated January 26, 2026 handed up to Court is taken on record.
2. The respondent GST Authorities are represented.
3. Since prayer for withdrawal of the writ petition has been made, the writ petition being WPA 4957 of 2023 is dismissed as withdrawn.
4. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
5. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible.
