In view of the fact that the amount of compensation as well as the interest stands deposited by the respondents, the proceedings in the contempt petition are closed. CM No. 5302/2026 2. This is an application seeking release of the interest part of the awarded amount in favour of the father of the victim. 3. In terms of the judgment dated 17.11.2022, the monthly interest earned on the amount of compensation of Rs. 30,20,000/- was allowed to be withdrawn by the father of the petitioner during the period of minority of petitioner. The amount of Rs. 9,66,400/- stands already deposited with the Registry of this Court. 4. Accordingly, the above-mentioned amount is allowed to be withdrawn by the father of the victim petitioner in terms of judgment dated 17.11.2022. Further, the monthly interest earned upon the compensation of Rs. 30,20,000/- be also released in favour of the father of the petitioner so as to enable him to spend the same for the welfare of the minor petitioner. 5.
